Mobile Ceramic Coating  ·  Fairfax, VA

Ceramic Coating Done right.

Ceramic coating is the gold standard for paint protection: a hard, transparent layer of glass-like polymers that bonds to your clear-coat. It rejects water, oil, dirt, and UV, so washing becomes faster and your paint stays glossy for years instead of months. We bring a fully-equipped mobile rig with a controlled work area, so you get a shop-grade ceramic application at your driveway without the multi-day shop drop-off.

Why a coating — and why mobile.

Ceramic coating is the gold standard for paint protection: a hard, transparent layer of glass-like polymers that bonds to your clear-coat. It rejects water, oil, dirt, and UV, so washing becomes faster and your paint stays glossy for years instead of months. Our Process

How the coating goes on.

01

Pre-Wash & Decontamination

Two-bucket wash, iron-fallout treatment, full clay-bar pass to lift bonded contaminants out of the clear-coat.

02

Paint Correction

1-step (single polish) or 2-step (cut + finish) machine correction to remove swirls, oxidation, and scratches before coating.

03

IPA / Panel Wipe

Every panel wiped with a residue remover so the ceramic bonds chemically to bare clear-coat — no oils or polish residue left behind.

04

Coating Application

Premium ceramic applied in cross-hatched layers per manufacturer spec. Full panel-by-panel work with proper flash time and leveling.

05

Cure & Hand-Off

12–24 hour cure window guidance, hydrophobic test before we leave, and a written care guide on how to maintain the finish for maximum life.

What's Included

What every coating package includes.

Pre-Wash Decontamination

Two-bucket hand-wash, wheels, tires, wells. Iron-fallout chemical treatment lifts brake dust and rail dust out of paint.

Clay-Bar Treatment

Full body clay-bar pass to remove embedded contaminants — sap, overspray, industrial fallout — that washing alone can't shift.

Paint Correction

1-step or 2-step machine polish to remove swirls, oxidation, water-spot etching, and light scratches. Restores depth and clarity.

IPA Panel Wipe

Solvent wipe-down strips residual oils so the ceramic chemically bonds with the clear-coat directly. This step is what makes the difference between a real coating and a fancy wax.

Premium Ceramic Coating

Professional-grade SiO₂ ceramic system applied panel-by-panel with manufacturer-spec flash and leveling times.

Wheel & Trim Coating

Wheels and exterior trim get their own purpose-built coating included — easier washing, no fading, no oxidized plastic.

Glass Hydrophobic Treatment

Windshield and side glass treated with a separate glass coating — water beads and sheets off above ~40 mph.

Aftercare Guide

Written guide and SMS reminder schedule for the first 30-day cure. Maintenance wash recommendations included.

Built For Mid-Atlantic

The Fairfax tax on your paint.

Northern Virginia paint takes a beating. UV breaks down sealants in months, not years. Salt and brake dust embed permanently if not removed. Pollen, bird droppings, and tree sap etch into clear-coat in days. A real ceramic coating doesn't stop all of this — but it makes washing fast and easy, and it dramatically slows how often you need to do it.

FAQ

Real questions, honest answers.

Everything most people ask about ceramic coating, in plain English. More FAQs.

Our 1-Step coating lasts 2–4 years with proper maintenance washes. The 2-Step lasts 3–5 years. Lifespan depends on how the car is washed — automatic brushes and harsh chemicals shorten it; hand-washing extends it. We give you a maintenance guide at hand-off.
Both packages include a ceramic coating. The difference is the paint-correction step. 1-step is a single-stage polish — removes 60–70% of swirls and light defects. 2-step is a cut-and-polish that removes 85–95% — produces a true mirror finish before the coating goes on. If your paint is in good shape already, 1-step is plenty. If you have visible swirls or want showroom-level depth, 2-step is the answer.
Yes — when it's done right. We bring the same professional-grade coating systems used in shops, plus a portable canopy and dust-control setup. The application chemistry doesn't change with location. The only thing a fixed shop has is a permanent dust-controlled bay, which is why we ask for a covered driveway, garage, or shaded carport for the actual coating step.
1-Step Ceramic: 8–11 hours depending on vehicle size. 2-Step Ceramic: 9–12 hours. Most customers leave the car in the morning and pick it back up at the end of the day. After we leave, the coating needs a 12–24 hour cure window where the car shouldn't be driven in rain or washed.
We need shade or shelter for the coating-application step (about 2–3 hours of the appointment). A garage is ideal. A covered driveway or carport works. If you don't have either, we can sometimes work it out with a pop-up canopy — let us know when booking.
No. Ceramic is a chemical resistance layer, not a physical impact layer. It will not stop rock chips, deep scratches, or door dings. For that, you'd want paint protection film (PPF), which we don't currently offer. What ceramic does do: makes washing easier, prevents bird-dropping etching, blocks UV oxidation, and adds significant gloss and depth.
Hand-wash only, no automatic brushes. pH-neutral soap. Microfiber wash mitt. Two-bucket method with grit guards. We'll send you a complete written guide and product recommendations at hand-off. Skip drive-through washes entirely — they leave swirls that the coating can't prevent.
Both packages also coat your wheels (separate purpose-built wheel coating) and exterior trim, and apply a hydrophobic glass treatment to your windshield and side windows. So the entire exterior — paint, wheels, trim, glass — is protected.
Yes. Add Executive Interior at booking and we'll knock it out during the coating cure time. Most customers do this — it's the most efficient way to get a complete top-to-bottom service in a single day.
Not at this time. Ceramic coating is our specialty for paint protection. PPF requires a controlled cutting and installation environment we don't have mobile capacity for yet.
Honest answer: not every car needs ceramic. If you wash your car frequently, park in a garage, and don't care about long-term gloss — Executive Exterior with a long-life sealant is plenty. If you want to skip waxing forever, want true hydrophobic performance, or have a newer/dark-colored car you want to keep looking new — ceramic is worth it.
Cash, all major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, and Zelle. For ceramic packages we collect a 25% deposit at booking to hold the slot. Balance is due on completion.
Yes. If the hydrophobic test fails at hand-off, we re-apply at no charge. The coating itself is covered by manufacturer durability claims (2–4 years for 1-step, 3–5 for 2-step) when maintained per our written guide.
If rain is forecast for the actual coating step, we reschedule with no penalty. The pre-wash and correction steps can happen with light cloud cover. We watch the radar carefully and call you the night before if there's a concern.
Yes — fully licensed and insured for mobile detailing operations across Pima County. Liability coverage protects your vehicle and property while we work.
